I cancelled my account on the phone having made 12 payments. I contacted Yell via email on several occasions (I have all the emails) from as early as 6 MONTHS before my contract came to end stating that the advertising was not working and I wanted to cancel at the earliest opportunity. Most of my emails were completely ignored. When I called to cancel after 12 months I was told there was a 14 day notice period. Now I am being chased up for another monthly payment stating that “my adverts are now strongly at risk of termination” despite the fact I cancelled over a month ago. I am being threatened with debt collecting agencies if I do not pay.

What an absolute con of a company. I signed up on Thursday, by Saturday I emailed and said I needed to hold off as my finances couldn't stretch to what they were wanting plus i was told one figure and given another. All I keep getting is I'm in a 12 month contract and there is no cooling off period. I've had to phone trading standards and my solicitor to get advice as to what to do. At no point was I told there was no cooling off period. Still waiting for someone from retentions to ring me back!

I keep yelling to customer services about the £81 a month You keep taking from my bank but it falls on death ears... if anyone out there is thinking about using yell to advertise think again, Myself and lots of others have had to contact trading standards to try and resolve being mis sold advertising by yell, advert placed in October 17 and to date I’ve not had any enquiries, called in January 18 and was told my advert had been put in the wrong place and I had to renew my contract for another year, so I took their advice and placed another contact for a year and I’ve still not had a single reply then I was told it’s a quiet time of the year but my Facebook advertising is working fine!!! I was promised the earth by yell slippery salesman and got nothing in return. BEWARE!
